When we started sailing in 1986
We didn’t have GPS we had DECCA and RDF
We didn’t have a CHART PLOTTER We had PAPER CHARTS
We didn’t have INSTRUMENTS We had A LEAD LINE and A WASP TRALING LOG
When we Sailed across the Atlantic in 2000
We didn’t have THE INTERNET We had A CHART PLOTTER
We didn’t have A CELL PHONE We had VHF and SSB RADIO
We didn’t have AIS we had BINOCLULARS and our EARS
Now we are Sailing the East coast of Australia 2020
We Have GPS. INSTRUMENTS. CHART PLOTTERS. THE INTERNET. AIS
HANDHELD TELEPHONES. IPADS. COMPUTERS. YOUTUBERS .
AND WE STILL GET LOST…Some things will never change.
